As an Guatemalan  adoptee, fashion has always been more than appearance,  it has been my language of self-discovery. It’s how I’ve built a world that reflects who I am: creative, passionate and growing.  Through design, I’ve found both healing and agency, using design and technology to piece together my identity.
I believe fashion can be a force for change It should not conform to gender, size, or narrow ideals. Instead it should be a way to creatively showcase one's unique aspects, and values. At NC State’s Wilson College of Textiles, I’ve deepened my understanding of sustainable practices and digital technologies such as CAD. These tools are not just technical—they are powerful extensions of my values
and vision.

My design practice is rooted in the following principles:

 1. Centering diversity at every stage of creation
2. Rejecting gendered clothing in favor of authentic self-expression
3. Representing real people and real bodies in my work
5. Prioritizing sustainability across every step of the design process
6 . Honoring the tools and knowledge I’ve had the privilege to learn, and using them with purpose
